Current Research in Social Sciences (ISSN: 2149-1488) provides a broad forum environment for disciplines in the social sciences. The aim of the journal is to publish original works that are subject to rigorous and independent evaluations that influence and inspire scientific society worldwide. The journal is encouraged to publish in detail the results and opinions of scientists, experts and experts. There is no restriction on the length of the articles.

1. INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS

Manuscript submission

You need tor register or sign up the https://dergipark.org.tr/en/login to submit manuscript to the Current Research in Social Sciences. Please register to as an author to the journal. After registration, login to the journal at https://dergipark.org.tr/en/pub/curesosc. The author who submits the manuscripts to the journal is responsible for the article during the evaluation process. Before submitting the manuscript, it should be ensured that all authors have authorship responsibilities and have read and approved the submitted manuscript. All authors in the article should have e-mail addresses and ORCID numbers registered in the journal system.

All the studies submitted to the journal are accepted in the Microsoft Word format because of its positive effect on the editing and publishing processes of the articles. 

You can download the template prepared by our journal by clicking here, and you can copy and paste your work into the relevant sections with the 'Preserve Text Only' option. To ensure compliance with all writing rules, we recommend that you read all the information in the template. After placing your entire work into the template, make sure that all explanatory boxes are resolved. Works prepared without compliance to any section of the writing rules will be sent back to the author for editing, even if they have been uploaded to the system. 

The manuscript template also serves as the formatting guidelines for our journal due to the information it contains. Our journal follows APA7 as its writing style guide. You can download the writing guidelines by clicking here. 

All written and visual contents/materials in the manuscript should be presented in accordance with the principles of manuscript preparation. Tables, figures and other visual materials should be indicated in the relevant place in the text, but these materials should be added to the main text after the reference section. Please contact the editor in case of a problem that may be encountered dimension for manuscript files.

Accepted file formats

Manuscripts should be submitted in .doc or .docx format using Microsoft Office Word program.
Visual materials used in the text should be presented in the desired place in the main text.
The resolution of the photos and pictures should not be less than 300 dpi. If the editor deems them necessary, relevant materials should be uploaded to the journal in .PNG, JPEG or .TIFF format.

Types of manuscripts
Original articles: All manuscripts that have the potential to provide new scientific information are evaluated in the journal considering their quality and impact.
Reviews: These manuscripts provide the latest progress and updates in the relevant field. The submitted reviews must comply with the PRISMA guidelines.

Manuscript preparation
You can submit your manuscript prepared according to the journal's writing rules to the system as stated below.

1. Cover letter: A document explaining why the article is important to the journal and its readers.
2. Front matter: The document containing the title of the article, the names of the author and institution, corresponding author(s) and orcid numbers.
3. Full-text file: The document containing the title (both in English and Turkish) the abstract (both in English and Turkish), keywords (both in English and Turkish), all sections of the main text and bibliography prepared according to writing rules or used the manuscript template.
4. Copyright form: Document signed by all authors. You can download here both Word and PDF format.
5. Similarity report: A report from a well-known similarity program.
6. Back-matter: A document containing acknowledgment, conflict of interest, competing interests, author contribution and similar information.
7. Ethics committee approval: Document received for the continuation of the work. If not required, text / explanation why it is not needed should be included.

Reviewer suggestion
Please suggest three (3) reviewers with appropriate expertise to review the manuscript. Editors may not necessarily refer to the proposed reviewers. Author(s) should not have co-authorship in any publication in the last 3 years with the proposed reviewers. Proposed reviewers should not work in the same institution with any of the article authors. Please provide the name-surname, institution and e-mail addresses of the proposed reviewers required for the system.

Conference papers
Current Research in Social Science accepts the submission of the expanded versions of the studies previously presented at conferences to the original study (research article), provided that the following conditions are required:

1. The study should be expanded as a original research (research article).
2. Authors should explain in the cover letter which conference it was presented before and which topics and parameters were added in the extended version.
3. The conference paper should be mentioned on the first page for information purposes.
4. If requested by the editor, the conference paper should be sent to the journal.


2. PRINCIPLES AND RULES OF ARTICLE PREPARATION

Prepare the manuscripts submitted to Current Research in Social Sciences (ISSN: 2149-1488) within the framework of the 'Manuscript Writing Rules'. The works submitted to the journal are under the control of the content editor before the manuscript evaluation process, and the studies that do not comply with the spelling rules of the journal will not be able to start the academic evaluation process.

1. OPEN-ACCESS POLICY

Current Research in Social Sciences adopts the open access publication model that provides fast, world-wide, unobstructed access to the full text of its articles, which does not require a subscription in the journal where the articles are published. The journal does not charge any fee when the article is being uploaded from the author or during the evaluation phase.
Current Research in Social Sciences recommends that all libraries include journal content into their library catalogs within the scope of open access policies of the journal. During these processes, no subscription and / or fee will be charged for access of electronic articles.
The works published in our journal are licensed under the Creative Commons 4.0 International License. Current Research in Social Sciences uses the LOCKSS system to create a scattered archiving system between participating libraries, which allow the library to create permanent archives for conservation and restoration purposes. 2. PUBLICATION POLICY

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original and have not been published anywhere or submitted to a journal for evaluation.
If the studies submitted to the journal are published, all publication and distribution rights belong to Current Research in Social Sciences. Appropriate bibliographical information is required in manuscripts. In some special cases, the use of the full text is subject to the journal's permission.
Manuscripts submitted to the journal are sent to at least two (2) referees to be determined from institutions except the authors' institutions. Within the framework of the referee reports, the manuscript is recommended for the publication process with the academic decision of the editorial board and editor. The final evaluation decision belongs to the managing editor. The journal does not justify unpublished studies.
Authors are required to read the copyright agreement before submitting their work. The responsibility of the published articles belongs to the authors. The opinions in the articles are not the responsibility of the journal.
The submitted manuscripts are evaluated in terms of compliance with the principles of manuscipt preparation rules before academic evaluation. Manuscirpts that do not have the desired points are returned to the author or authors.
Authors can re-organize the rejected manuscrips within the framework of the editor and / or referee reports and submit them to the journal as new studies.
There is no word limitation in the articles presented, except for "abstract", "öz" "keywords" and "anahtar kelimeler" sections.
Whether the studies submitted to the journal require ethics committee approval or similar legal / special permission (See the Research Ethics Section) should be stated before the study. In these types of permission should have some information, (i) from which institution the permission was obtained, (ii) on which date, (iii) with which decision number.

3. PUBLICATON ETHICS
Current Research in Social Sciences is committed to the principles of Committe of Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure and maintain academic and ethical publishing standards.

a. Editor responsibility
Current Research in Social Sciences is impartial in the submitted manuscripts to the journal. All submissions to the journal within the framework of ethical rules will be evaluated.
In the evaluation of the submitted manuscripts, double-blind peer review process is applied. In case of insufficient or conflicting reviewer opinions, another reviewew opinion may be consulted.
Any personal purpose and conflict of interest should be avoided for studies submitted to the journal.
If one of the authors of the submitted manuscript works for the same institution with the editor, another editor or guest editor will be the editor of the manuscript.

b. Reviewer responsibility
Reviewers must make independent evaluation.
They are responsible for keeping the confidentiality of the manuscript and the evaluation processes.
They should avoid any personal conflict of interest for the manuscript which they evaluate.
The reviewers to be assigned to the study submitted to the journal cannot work in the same institution with the author or one of the authors.

c. Author responsibility
The author(s) are responsible for submitting an original manuscirpt to the journal.
Authors should not submit their work to a journal and this study should not have been published in another journal.
All academic, ethical and legal responsibilities of the submitted manuscripts belong to the authors.

4. RESEARCH ETHICS

All research published in Current Research in Social Sciences should be conducted in accordance with national and international ethical guidelines, framework and guidelines.
Before proceeding of studies with humans, approval must be obtained from an institutional ethics committee and it must be verified in the manuscript. The name of the ethics committee and approval number should be provided in the study. In cases where ethical approval is not required and / or exempted, the relevant issue should be stated in the manuscript with an explanation. If the editor/editorial board request more information about ethical considerations, authors should be able to provide more information.
Discriminatory and stigmatizing language should not be used in defining groups such as race, religion, ethnic origin, disability, disease, gender, sexual orientation.

4.1. Special issues in research ethics

a. Survey studies
The researcher(s) must inform all participants about
(i) the purpose of the research,
(ii) whether anonymity is ensured,
(iii) how the data is stored,
(iv) Possible risks
(v) Privacy rights
The voluntary consent of the participants should be recorded, and all legal processes must be followed. Ethical approval must be obtained from the appropriate local ethics committee before conducting the study. In cases where ethical approval is not required for survey studies, researchers should add this point to the explanation. There will be a section in the manuscript to confirm the situations mentioned.

b. Research consents for children, adolescents, and vulnerable/incapacitated participants in the study
Written informed consent of children, adolescents and vulnerable/incapacitated participants is obtained from their legal parents or trustees. A statement confirming the existence of informed consent should be included in the study. Verbal informed consent was obtained instead of written consent, and this should be reported and explained in the study. Informed consents must be given by free without any coercion or external influence, in accordance with the points specified in the Nuremberg Law and Belmont Report.

c. Retrospective studies
Researchers should verify that they have obtained the necessary ethical approval for the research and that they have obtained permission from the database owner to use their data for the purpose of the research. For public databases for which permission is not required, this should be stated in the study.

d. Research on indigenous and private communities
Authors must obtain the necessary ethical permissions and informed consents in their research with indigenous and special communities. Authors should consider the existing situations for historical, cultural, political and social sensitivity and be aware of the ethical and legal restrictions of the written and visual materials related to indigenous and private communities.

e. Social media research
Authors should follow the ethical rules regarding the collection and publication of data obtained from social media platforms. For such studies, authors are recommended to consult the Social Data Science Lab and British Sociological Association's ethical statements, frameworks and guidelines on the subject.

f. Covert observational research
Although the study is conducted in secret due to some issues, the authors must obtain the ethical approval. Generally, in such studies, necessary informed consents are obtained after the study is completed. Authors must add the confidential rationale and information of ethical approval for the study. In such works, the editor, editorial board and managing editor reserve the right not to deem the manuscript suitable for evaluation.

Current Research in Social Sciences journal adopts an open-access approach, and there are no submission fees, editorial processing fees, or publication charges for articles, essays, etc. submitted to our journal.
